Please be aware that this project was completed before Longhurst Group merged with Grand Union Housing Group to become Amplius.
We received feedback from one of our customers, Marie, who said: “It would be a good idea if Longhurst Group put out information and advice to tenants about the practice of fire drills in their homes with their family.
“This could save lives should there be a house fire.”
Thank you for your idea Marie!
So, we got straight onto it and found information where you can learn about fire drill games to teach your family, in fun and memorable ways, how to escape a house fire by following this link.
A house fire happens every 86 seconds, yet half of parents say their kids wouldn’t know what to do if the smoke alarm went off.
Why not make a pledge to practice your home fire drill twice a year and get your friends to do the same.
If you have any ideas for future projects, you can tell us using the 'Ideas' tool.
